“It’ll work if you work it…”

That’s one of my mom’s famous sayings. She’s always said that, in reference to making the best of what you have. Working with what you have…

For some reason, those words are really resonating with me these days. I have so many things that I wanna do in life, but I’ve developed this tendency to wait for the “right time” to do them… its something like a perfectionist trait. But now I’m seeing how silly that is. There is no “perfect time”… and if there is, it’s right NOW.

Ladies and gentlemen, you’ve got TODAY. Not yesterday (so don’t dwell on your past). And not tomorrow (Because it’s not guaranteed).

Everything you need to do, to do you, is right inside of you. Sure, you may not have all the money and/or resources to do it, how you want to do it. But hey… work with what you got. Don’t sit on the sidelines, waiting for that “perfect time”, because in reality, it may never come. And you’ll just be sitting there… and sitting there… and sitting there. You’ll check the date and next thing you know, 5 years will have passed. 5 years of YOUR life. That you can’t get back. I don’t say any of that to make you feel guilty or bad about anything… I’m saying this in hopes, of someone reading it, and being inspired to get up and change their life. At my core, that’s all I want to do… inspire others to be themselves and pursue their dreams and goals.

So like, I was saying, you may not have all the resources (now)… but get creative. Make something happen. Take advantage of the moment… I mean, why not?

With that said, I’ll definitely be taking my own advice… I’ve wasted time before, waiting for “perfection”, or worrying about the next person’s opinion… and its simply not worth it!

We’re all designed to be great. You just have to be willing to put in the work to find your own personal level of greatness…

“His name is Kendrick Kj Johnson he was beaten to death at his High School here in Valdosta Ga the police is covering up his story by saying there was no foul play but clearly you can see its a lie. They have yet to give the Johnson/Tooley family any answers. Im only asking for a minute of your time to plz share his story we need all the support we can get. Please support the Kendrick Kj Johnson movement.”

To everyone following my blog, please share this information! Time has repeated itself and repeated the Emmett Till Case all over again.  The Valdosta Police are trying to say that he climbed on top of  an upright tumbling mat, fell into it upside down and died… He went missing during one of his classes and was found the next day like what you see above. The police would not let the family identify the body upon finding KJ’s body…. Now I don’t know about you but no one would be that bloated and disfigured after 24hrs stuck in a tumbling mat.

Below you will find a link to a compilation of News articles involving his death and a petition go get the federal government involved in solving his murder.

It’s all about your perspective.

stevenrosas:

Your choice of perspective has the power to build or demolish your life as you know it. Your mind has the uninhibited ability to take any experience and create a meaning that weakens you or make you jump for joy. Forget all the reasons why something won’t work and figure out the one good reason that it will. If you think it is possible, it will happen.
